LX Institute of Spatial Information holds a field demonstration of industry-academic cooperation R&D in the 4th Industrial Revolution

On the 28th, the LX Space Information Research Institute (Acting Director Lee Hwa-young) held an intermediate performance sharing meeting and on-site demonstration of industry-academic cooperation R&D tasks being pursued to develop technologies related to the 4th Industrial Revolution.


For three years from 2017, the Korea Institute of Spatial Information has been promoting an 8 billion won "Industrial Cooperation R&D Project" project to develop promising spatial information technologies and achieve regional co-prosperity.


Among them, this year, an on-site demonstration was held to share the research results of the "Research on Improving Intellectual Survey Work Methods through the Application of New Technologies."

"Until now, forest surveying has been difficult to provide survey results due to obstacles such as trees, but the study is expected to provide rapid results by using radio transmission and reception of satellite precision measurement modules and receivers mounted on drones."


Shinhan University's Industry-Academic Cooperation Group, Spatial Information Co., Ltd., and Infinite Information Technology Co., Ltd. are participating together, and plans to complete the study by December this year.
