Gyeongsang National University (GNU, President Kwon Soon-ki) was selected for the "Artificial Intelligence (AI) Learning Data Construction (2nd)" project hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and organized by the Korea Information Society Agency (NIA).

The "Artificial Intelligence (AI) Learning Data Construction (secondary)" project is a government-led digital new deal supplementary project to create large-scale jobs and foster the national artificial intelligence industry to cope with the economic recession triggered by COVID-19.

Gyeongsang National University has been selected as one of the designated public offerings for the project, "Building Agricultural Video AI Data," and will carry out the project for four months until December with 17 participating organizations. The total cost of the project is 7.6 billion won.

The goal of this project is to develop application services for data utilization by collecting and processing AI data for image analysis for the agricultural sector, and to expand the agricultural industry into a new national growth industry by combining quality data of agricultural products with artificial intelligence technology.
